The Illinois Rowing Association or “ILRA” is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, representing the alumni and friends of the University of Illinois Rowing Teams. The ILRA’s mission is to promote and support of the sport of rowing at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and in the Central Illinois region.
We are excited to now offer an easy way of setting up recurring donations! PayPal is the preferred method of donating to the Illinois Rowing Association. Donations can be made by ACH payment or credit/debit card using PayPal’s secure interface. You will receive a Tax Receipt for your donation directly from PayPal.
To make a contribution via personal check or money order, please make them payable to “Illinois Rowing Association” and mail your donation to:

The ILRA is excited to announce that we are now able to accept donations of publicly traded securities.
Gifts of publicly traded securities that have appreciated in value allow you to avoid capital gains taxes while also receiving a tax deduction for your gift. The ILRA benefits by selling the stock without paying taxes on the gain, and you benefit from making a contribution that would be larger than what you might have been able to donate in cash.

Donations can be made to support the operating expenses of the University of Illinois Club Rowing Teams through the University of Illinois Foundation. Funds donated through the UIF are restricted to use for operating expenses such as travel and lodging. Please visit the UIF website and under Other enter “The Illini Rowing Club”.
The University does not share donor information with us so we don’t know who has donated through the University. If you decide to donate through the UIF please forward the confirmation email from the University to treasurer@illinoisrowingassociation.com.
